First Education Program
Graduate: IG Akula has successfully
completed the Skergard Skertru Aga Clergy Education
Program. Reverend Godhi Akula Kinyon (RG Akula) was
ordained 29 Sep 98/5101. Congratulations RG!
Skergard Skertru Aga: The Skergard Skertru Aga
(Skergard Clergy Education Program) is accepting clergy
students at this time. To join the Program one must be
Skertru. Please send your letter of introduction along
with a report of each of the Skertru Writings; this is a
very challenging course and only serious applicants need
apply. Please write the Gyllakenni for more information.
Book Review: RG Lars Anthony Cone has been
asked by Llewellyn to review Edred Thorsson's Northern
Magic. The review will compare the work to Dr.
Thorsson's other works; when complete it will be sent to
the Skergard Mailing List.

Religious Year: The religious year was developed
after considerable research done by IG Taranis. The year
is modeled after the first written writings of our gods
in 3102bce. Counting zero the current year is 5101, this
year will go up in number on the final evening of Yule,
after the blessing.
The
Lay of Holde: The
Lay of Holde, Words of the Sister was inspired and composed this
month from the face of a cliff on Mount La Grange in Red
Wing, MN. by RG Lars Agnarsson. It has 13 verses of which
include 4 10 syllable lines.

Journal of Traditions in a Modern World: Our new full-color Journal is
scheduled for release July 10, 1998/5101. More

SpringMoot
'98: Southeast
SpringMoot 98 is being held May 15, 16, 17th at Hard
Labor Creek State Park in Rutledge, GA. This event is
being hosted by the Irminsul Aettir Godords of Nashville,
TN and Atlanta, GA. We are looking forward to attending
this event! It promises to be fun and informative! Last
year they had over 120 people attend and they plan on
exceeding that this year.
Skergard members attending the SpringMoot include: RG
Lars Agnarsson, IG Jera Jordsdottir, members of the
Nordstrom Kindred from Birmingham, Alabama and other
members of Skergard. If anyone else would like to attend

Skergard
International: Skergard continues to grow not
just in the United States but also in other countries as
well. Skergard has members in seven countries. Skergard

and GA as well as Germany, New Zealand, Canada, Sweden,

First
Vows Exchanged: Skergard is honored to announce on this
the 14th day of April 2248, runic era, the formation of a
SkerBú, a Skertru household. Orion and Sandra exchanged
their vows under the guidance of Reverend Goði Lars
Agnarsson. All congratulations and best wishes can be
sent to orion@skergard.org . A copy of the exchange of vows
rite is available upon request. Requests should be sent
to hq@skergard.org.

Site
Revised/Updated: The German version of the website is
continuing with some sections already completed.
Skergard
goes International: Skergard continues to grow not

Site
Revised/Updated: The website is being changed to present a
text only version and a java version. There are now over 170 links
which include the Fornaldarsögur Norðurlanda (O.N./Eng)
Volumes 1-3. A Spanish version of the Skergard website
is up and running complete with a message board and a German version is currently in the
works.
Skergard on Valhall: Skergard has added a new channel
for chats. The registered channel is on Valhall and is
called #Skertru. Members of Skergard will be opped.
However, you need to have an IRC program to access the
channel. If you do not have one, you can download them
from here (32 bit | 16 bit | Mac).

Skergard
Site Revised: The site has been revised, and now
includes a new section called "Skertru Edda".
This revision is in both the Java and the text areas. The
Skertru Edda will gradually be filled until completed and
currently contains: Skapamál, Voluspa (Old Norse),
Havamal (Old Norse), The Catalog of Dwarves, The Catalog
of Dwarves (Old Norse), The Death of Baldr (Old Norse),
and the Nannaspa.
The Council
Forms Clergy Program: The Council of Godhar established
the minimum curriculum, and set guidelines, for the
Godhar Education Program. Under the current guidelines
the program should take a minimum of two years to
complete, or less depending on the individual. For more

Online Magazine of Northern Tradition:
Utgard has suffered a nasty computer
crash and all articles, but one, have been lost. All
email addresses for the writers of these articles have
also been lost. If you submitted some of your work,
please resubmit it. Utgard will be publicly online March
21, Ostara. To submit articles, poems, art, or anything
to Utgard, please send email to utgard@skergard.org.
Skergard on
DALnet: Skergard now has a chat room on
DALnet. The channel is a registered DALnet channel known
as #skergard_asatru. To get to the channel you must have
an IRC program, if you do not have one download them from
here (32 bit | 16 bit | Mac) soon! The chat room on the site does not go to DALnet (see
below).

Skergard
Site Revised: The site has been revised, and
now includes a navigation bar to further ease navigation
through the Skergard site. The site is currently the
largest web site dedicated to the Northern Traditions,
and continues to expand.
Skertru
Edda: The groundwork has been laid to
produce our own version of the Saemundar Edda that is
academic, spiritual and intuitive. A completion date has
not been set, but the project is currently underway.

Kindred List: We are organizing a
list of Kindred's (or Hópar/Felagur/groups). Each group
is welcome to have their own web page on the Skergard
site if they wish. We would like to see this list go
online in January 1998. Please click here to get your Kindred listed.
Skergard
Growing:
Skergard is currently growing and expanding across the
United States, and hopes to continue expanding both
nationally and internationally. Skergard now has members
in MN, VA, TX, IL, CA, TN and NE since its its reviving
in late November,1997. If you are not yet a member, and

Skergard
Members Mailing List: The mailing list (a form of open
forum email) was due to go up in January 1998, but is now
available for members. To subscribe simply send a request
to list@skergard.org. This list is only available to
Skergard members, for more information please click

Fjallabok: Fjallabok issues 1-10
of 11 are now online. The Java has also been rewritten
for ease of navigation. The later issues had reprinted
articles which are not shown on the web site, this is why
some of them do not contain more than 6 articles...
Articles include: prayers, rites, a seidhr divination
system, the soul, the patented Norse fairy tale
collection, history, mythology, opinion et alii. For the

Utgard
Online Magazine: Plans have begun for Utgard,
the new online magazine for Skergard to be released in
March 1998. We would like everyone to contribute
something to Utgard, though we know this is not possible.
Articles, poetry, art, everything is welcomed. The issue
will be for Ostara, so if we had a them that would be it.

Skergard
Chat Room: The Skergard Chat room meets
irregularly between the hours of 7-9pm central everyday,
a specific day and time has yet to be made. The Chat is
Java, if you would rather use your own IRC program,
simply go to the server: IRC.deltakonzept.de the channel
is called #skergard_asatru . To get to the Skergard Chat

Godhar: Skergard is currently
accepting applications for Godhar, our Godhar have to
option of legal recognition if they choose. If you are
